The United Way annual fundraising campaign is truly a
community-wide effort.
As your organization’s Employee Campaign Coordinator, you are a vital partner in the network of caring and collaboration in our community. Ideas to put forward on how the Johnson County United Way helps throughout the county are:
YOU provide companionship to seniors living alone through the Senior Centers, Homemaker Health Care, and HOPE Coalition.
YOU provide a safe place for children after school through the various sports programs and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
YOU help people with multiple concerns through the Johnson County Adult Literacy, Pathway Community Behavioral HealthCare, Inc., Catholic Charities of Warrensburg, Salvation Army of Warrensburg, Show-Me Christian Youth Home, Survival Adult Abuse Center, and Homemaker Health Care.
YOU build medical care for those in need through Children's Mercy Hospital, Pathway Community Behavioral HealthCare, Inc., and the University of Missouri Heart and Cancer Research Center..
YOU provide food to parents with hungry children through the Food Center, Survival Adult Abuse Center and HOPE Coalition.
YOU take care of families who have survived disasters through the American Red Cross, Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army of Warrensburg and HOPE Coalition.
YOU mentor boys and girls in need of role models through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County, Boy Scouts of .America, Heart of America Council, Girl Scouts of NE Kansas and NW Missouri, Show-Me Christian Youth Home, and through the Centerview, Holden, Knob Noster, Kingsville,and Warrensburg Recreation Programs, along with 4-H Assistance Program.
