Basic Human Needs

Provides 24-hour emergency assistance to disaster victims and military families.  Emergency services, health and safety education, and blood services are provided for all ages. 0%
The organization offers services for all ages including emergency assistance, case management, and counseling helping persons attain self-sufficiency and live in a healthy secure environment.  11%
106 - Johnson County H.E.L.P. (660) 747-HELP (4357) 
Dedicated  to serve the homeless population with shelter, emergencdy food, case management and other necessary services to move them into housing stability.  11%
Free instruction in basic reading, ESL, dtyskexuc and math skills for adults 16 and over. Private, free, individual tutoring is by trained volunteers. 21.7%
110 - Legal Aid of Western Missouri (660) 747-7101  www.LegalAid.org  
Provides quality free legal assistance to low-income persons so that they may have the necessities of food, clothing, shelter, health care, and safety. 14.13%
Provides assistance to all county residents with utility assistance, rent,emergency lodging, disaster asssistance, medications and food.  15%
We provide loving, stable homes for up to 95 children who cannot live with their biological parents due to abuse, neglect or other unfortunate circumstances. 24.5%

Services include emergency shelter, crisis hotline, case management, crisis intervention, court advocacy, resource advocacy, a volunteer program, and support groups.  15.1%

A non-profit, cooperative community resource to supplement their food supply to low-income families who reside in Johnson County.  25.1%
Offers vouchers for food, gas, prescriptions, and utilities.  House GED classes, WIC, Harvesters, youth and senior recreational activities, health wellness screening services and community engagements. 36.4%
