Johnson County United Way Celebrity Waiter Kickoff.
The Johnson County United Way and an anticipated 30+ celebrity waiters will entertain over 200 guests at the Celebrity Waiter Dinner at the Johnson County Fairgrounds on September 11th; the eighteenth annual event. Food for the event will be donated by Sodexho along with dessert donated by Bi-Lo Country Mart. Use of the Youth building has been donated to the JCUW by the Johnson County Fair Association.
After set-up assistance from agencies, a Hospitality Hour will be held beginning at 5:30 PM with dinner promptly served at 6 PM by the celebrity waiters. Serving that many people promptly is a challenge but the food is served quickly to all present by the celebrity waiters, aided by board members with assistance from agencies, the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, and several community volunteers. During the dinner hour guests will be entertained with music provided by the Country Ordaras.
